Join UUJMCA for Immigrant Digital Day of Action
May 11, 2020 - ONLINE EVERYWHERE!
UUJMCA is excited to once again be joining our partners at the California Immigrant Policy Center (CIPC) for their annual Immigrant Day of Action on Monday, May 11 2020.
For over 20 years, Immigrant Day of Action has centered on the power and rights of immigrants in California, lifting up the voices and legislative agenda of immigrant rights advocates in Sacramento. In light of COVID-19 and the need to maintain participant health and safety, Immigrant Day of Action this year will be an entirely online/digital event with virtual programming & legislative visits - you can be a part of this action in Sacramento from anywhere in California!
Join UUJMCA, CIPC, and several other immigrant justice organizations and activists for this day of celebration and civic engagement. This May 11th, community members and leaders will gather virtually to share our challenges and joys, our struggles and victories, and our collective vision for a better California for everyone! Last year, nearly 40 Unitarian Universalists joined the UUJMCA contingent in-person for this day of education, advocacy, and witness. Imagine what we could do virtually??
Join us this year as we continue to live out our Unitarian Universalist principles as people of faith amplifying the rights and power of our immigrant siblings in California!
Thank you for signing up to be part of the UUJMCA contingent for the 2020 Immigrant Day of Action! You will receive updates about the day's logistics and your role as that information becomes available.
Help us continue to grow the faithful movement for immigrant rights by spreading the word about Immigrant Day and UUJMCA!
